In short: your CNIC copy and Bar Council certificate are encrypted before they ever touch our disk, are viewable only by you and our compliance team, and are automatically deleted after 2 years unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
What identity documents we collect, and why
- CNIC copy — collected from advocate applicants, used solely to confirm the name on your Bar Council registration matches your legal identity before your public profile is approved.
- Bar Council certificate — collected from advocate applicants, used solely to confirm your license to practice before your public profile is approved.
- Student ID card — optionally collected from law student applicants, used to speed up verification of enrolled student status.
How these are protected
Unlike ordinary supporting documents (which are stored in our standard media system), CNIC copies, Bar Council certificates, and Student ID cards are encrypted (AES-256) before being written to disk, kept outside our public media library, and can only be opened through an authenticated link — accessible solely to you (the account they belong to) and to Justify.pk administrators performing verification. They are never made public, never indexed by search engines, and never shared with any third party.
How long we keep them
These documents are automatically and permanently deleted 2 years after submission. If your application is rejected, or if you simply want them removed sooner, email admin@justify.pk and we will delete them within a few business days.
